Events organisation gains business through training staff

Stadium Traffic Management are focused on delivering events management in the form of people traffic movements and events stewarding. They are committed to creating strong, long term customer relationships that help them work with clients and identify the necessary needs to help deliver an exceptional event in the process. They place great importance in their staff and were keen to invest in the training of their employees. This being born out of the need to ensure maximum productivity and satisfaction levels when working for clients.

Through the ESF Workplace Learning programme, an integrated approach to training and development was offered to their workforce. Being an events management organisation their staff act as the first point of contact for visitors and therefore the training required for their workforce needs to enable the staff to provide excellent customer service skills.

Via Workplace Learning Bournville College were able to facilitate, embed and contextualise Customer Service that deals with a range of customer service issues. This was closely linked to a number of progression routes that enabled staff to build upon the confidence gained and move onto their specialised area including Events Stewarding and Security.

The proactive approach to training in partnership with Bournville College is helping the company secure an increasing number of contracts due to the improved skill level of its workforce. The company sees this approach to training becoming the gold standard for their company and are ready to roll out the scheme to additional employees.
