Engineering &

Manufacturing

Engineering and Manufacturing can cover a variety of roles and careers, whether that’s electrical, environmental, chemical or more. This makes it one of the UK’s broadest sectors, with 19% of all UK employees working within it according to 2018 data from Engineering UK.

Working in a fast-paced and varied sector such as this, you need to make sure you’re staying ahead of the curve with employee training.

The Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) programme offers a range of free training courses to help your business stay in front.

Employers within the engineering and manufacturing sector are supported in identifying their current and future skills needs with a comprehensive training needs analysis carried out by our expert partners.

Skills training can be offered in a variety of areas such as Lean Organisation Management Techniques, Principles of Risk Assessment, Business Improvement Techniques, Engineering Maintenance and Installation – and more. Alternatively, there are courses available to benefit your business in a variety of ways such as social media skills, leadership and management, or customer service.

Delivery takes place on site or at employer premises at a convenient time to suit the employer and participant.

This is fully funded and supported by the European Social Fund, with no cost to the employer or employee.
