Skills Support for the Workforce respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice will inform you as to how we store your personal data and explain your privacy rights.

This privacy notice outlines how Skills Support for the Workforce will ensure that any information we are provided with is secure, confidential and used only for the purposes we set out below.

Personal Data

The only personal information that we will collect is the personal information that you provide to us, like your name and contact details. We will only collect and use personal data for the purposes we tell you about.

Please see below examples of personal data we will collect:

  • Personal information and contact details including name, business address, email address and phone number.
  • Information about courses you have enquired about.
  • Records of communications sent to you by Skills Support for the Workforce or received from you.
  • Simple health data, such as access requirements and dietary requirements for events.
  • Start and end dates of any course you are enrolling onto.
  • Employment status.
  • Employer details if you are an apprentice or your employer has put you forward for the course.
  • Photos and Videos.

How will we use this data?

We will not share any personal information we have collected from you with any third party without your consent, other than for statutory, legal, or for the requirements of vital interest.

We collect this information to understand your needs and provide you with a service, for the following reasons:

  • Send emails, text messages and post relating to your query, course application or general enquiry
  • Provide you with information tailored to what you have requested
  • Respond to any feedback you send to us
  • Help answer your questions and solve any issues you have
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services
  • Internal record keeping

Individual rights

You can request that we remove your personal details from our databases by sending an email to jane.holmes@calderdale.ac.uk.

Accuracy

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us at jane.holmes@calderdale.ac.uk. If you find any errors, we will delete or edit the information promptly.

We may use technology to track behaviour patterns of visitors to our website, these include using a ‘cookie’ which are stored on your browser.
